Replacing a broken tile can be easy if you set it in either adhesive or mortar. Remove the grout and try to remove as much of the bonding material as possible prior to re-bonding the new tile. Replace the tile and use the same type of bonding adhesive that was originally used. Beat the tile in softly to prevent slippage.
